I am Nicole Dawley, the Dyslexia Specialist, for H. O. Whitehurst Elementary. This is my second year as the Dyslexia Specialist and my 21st year in education. I have been employed with Groesbeck ISD for 16 years and prior to Groesbeck I worked for Mexia ISD for 5 years. I am a 1995 graduate of Groesbeck. I graduated from Navarro Juniro College in 1997 with an Associates’ degree in general studies. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplenary Studies in 1999 with a specialization in Reading and English. In 2006, I graduated from Texas A & M University-Commerce with a Master’s degree in Special Education with a speicalization as a Educational Diagnostician. I attended Region 12 Principal Preparation Program and receivied my Texas principal certification in 2011. This is going to be a great year!
